You were on WFMZ on Mon 4/18/11 for an Easter program. I wanted to get your recipe for coconut cream cake for my Easter dinner and I can’t find it anywhere on your website. Could you please direct me to it or send the recipe to my email address?
Much thanks and by the way, the cake was de-lish.
Hello! Thanks for watching the segment on WFMZ, and thanks so much for your note!
I’ve had several requests for the recipes from the segment – I had them on the Facebook link to the WFMZ segment, but totally neglected to post them on the blog – ACK!
The recipes from yesterday’s “Easter” segment are from Barefoot Contessa – I have all of her cookbooks! The cake recipe is listed as “intermediate”, but I’ve never had trouble with it!
Coconut Cream Cake -… http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/coconut-cake-recipe/index.html
(note, I used one cup heavy cream instead of one cup milk)
Cookie recipe – http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/jam-thumbprints-recipe/index.html
(you’re just using the dough from this recipe, so you won’t need the eggwash, the coconut, or the jam. Simply roll out the dough to the thickness you prefer and use your favorite cookie cutters – they are GREAT!
