AMELIA’S GROCERY OUTLET! SAVE MONEY!
Hey guys! I hope you had a fantastic weekend. Here in Pennsylvania, we’re digging out the last of the minor snowstorm from a couple of days ago, just in time to prep for a major snow spanking on Tuesday. The only thing I panic at is the idea that I’ll run out of half & half for my morning coffee. Thankfully, I’m well set, so all is right in my world.

Here’s the breakdown for the day, and not trying to get flip on a Sunday or anything, but my new mantra is about to be “and on the 9th Day, God made ‘leftover night’!” WOO HOO!

Day 9 Total: $8.10, Total for Month: $85.95
Coffee: 0.25. Went with Snickerkicker coffee, ‘cause I LOVE the way the kitchen smells when the percolator works its magic on it!

Breakfast – ($0) Leftover french toast from yesterday! Just heat & eat, and five minutes later, I’m a culinary hero. I should’ve made a quadruple batch yesterday. Love this concept.

Lunch: 3.50. – Went with grilled ham & cheese sandwiches on whole wheat (when you grill the bread, even the kids leap at the healthy whole wheat), side of chips, pickles, ice water.

Afternoon Snack – ($2) another snacking-on-the-go kind of day, we ended up tearing thru two pounds of bananas and two pounds of apples like a pack of gorillas.

Dinner: $2.00. More of the fabulous bean/chicken/vegetable soup from
yesterday (I counted in the entire cost of the soup yesterday, so leftovers tonight count as “$0” in tallying the cost. Made a “whack them open against the countertop” batch of croissants to go with it, and a side salad, with chocolate cake for dessert!

Evening Snack: (0.35) More popcorn! ¼ cup popped into 6 cups, with ¼ stick of butter melted on top. I’m officially addicted to popcorn. It so great eating a snack and knowing there’s just three ingredients: popcorn, butter and salt! Not that I’m going all-natural or anything, but it’s great to know there are some fabulous snacks out there that don’t require 45 ingredients in a 6 ounce bag!

So there we have it, managed today for $8.10, total for the month is $85.95! May your Sunday night be fabulous, and your Monday morning commute be swift! Frugal On!
